Estate, Trust or Elder Law Mediation Fees

What will this cost?

As a qualified neutral certified in both family and civil mediation, I am uniquely qualified to mediate estate and trust disputes. The issues that arise in estate litigation more closely resemble those of family law. The matter involves family members with history that predates the current dispute. Unlike in a typical civil dispute, there are times where the parties to a probate dispute will need to maintain some sort of relationship (for the benefit of other family members) in the future.

I charge an hourly rate but most parties prefer to book blocks of time knowing we need time to discuss all of the issues.

Half Day Session: $750 per party to include 4 hours of mediation and 2 hours of preparation time. Anything beyond that will be billed at the hourly rate

Full Day Session: $1,500 per party to include 8 hours of mediation, 2 hours of preparation time and lunch for the parties. Anything beyond that will be billed at the hourly rate

Half-day sessions are generally from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. I restrict my practice to one mediation per day so if you book a half-day session, it is not a problem to go past time.

Full-day session are conducted during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and will include lunch.
